Give Books to Children in Need

Midlands Orphan Relief is a non-profit that helps children in South Carolina during one of their greatest times of need, when they have been taken from their family for their own safety and survival.

Now, we have a chance to help these children through MOR.

MOR provides essential resources through their personalized Care Kits to children who have suffered abuse, abandonment, and neglect.

The South Carolina Alpha Delta Kappa educators' honorary society Alpha chapter has adopted MOR and received approval to provide our first book plus a country book in each Care Kit for a child of the relevant age.

Our books are especially valuable for these children because:

1) they teach them the superpowers of curiosity, courage, and compassion that not only help in navigating intercultural relationships, but also uncertainties in life

2) we do not have a named parent in our books (mother, father, mom, dad) that could be triggering, rather there is simply Big Person who could be any responsible adult in a child's life

3) they show them a world outside of their own experience, to give them fantasy, imagination, and hope for a better future

Won't you help us (MOR, ADK SC-Alpha, and Nspir) to reach our goal of 200 books in MOR's hands by the end of May 2025?
